ANN: Gent - A template-based project generator (with Github support)

Chanwit Kaewkasi
Hi all,

I am please to announce that the Gent tool is now available at:

https://github.com/genttool/gent

Inspired by Conscript and g8, Gent is a project generator that support
Gradle, Grails, Groovy, Vert.x and ZK. We have 5 ready-to-use project
templates listed there.

To getting started with Gent, just call:

$ curl -Ls git.io/gent | sh

on your shell.

Then you'll have the gent script in the ~/bin/ directory.

We current have template:

genttool/grails - for Grails 2.1.1 project
genttool/grails-bootstrap - for Grails with Bootstrap project
genttool/zk-grails - for ZK-Grails RIA project
genttool/gradle-groovy - for general Groovy project with Gradle as the
build tool
genttool/vertx-groovy - for Vert.x / Groovy project

Other kinds of project templates are welcome. You can just host a
template on Github and send me the link.

Hope this tool is useful for your day-to-day work.

Cheers,

-chanwit

My first thought when I saw this is that the Grails template should create a grailsw enabled project and I see that is exactly what you did.

Well done!
