[ANN] JIRA migration imminent

pledbrook
Hi everyone,

This is just a note to prepare everyone for the imminent migration of
the Grails and Grails Plugins JIRAs from Codehaus to grails.org. We
are looking tentatively at Thursday evening US Central Time. During
the migration, you won't be able to access the JIRA instance on
Codehaus and once it's complete you will have to use a different URL
(currently we're deciding between http://jira.grails.org and
http://issues.grails.org ).

Once the date and time have been firmed up, I'll send another e-mail out.

One of the big changes that this migration will bring about is the
introduction of separate JIRA projects for each plugin. This will make
issue management, searching, and reporting for plugins much simpler
than it was before. Also, each existing component lead will become the
project lead for the corresponding plugin project. This will allow him
or her to manage permissions, team members, versions, etc.

More information will follow later this week.

Regards,

Peter

Great step forward for Grails Plugin developers.
Thank you!

PS. GitHub integration? ;)

As much as I don't like naming a product in the URL, not everything on
JIRA is an 'issue', so issues.* looks bad.

I don't even know if you are wanting votes on this, but consider that
my vote anyway ;)

Cheers,
Antony
