Accessing development release using svn

Mark Petrovic-2
Good day.

$ svn checkout http://svn.codehaus.org/grails/

apparently allows for svn access only (I think) to version 0.1.  Is there another URL at which we can access the 0.2 development release?

Thank you.

Hi Mark,

Do you mean that SVN only has 0.1?  I used the WebDav version under http, i.e. : e http://svn.codehaus.org/grails URL.  Don't forget as well that underneath this are the tag, branch and trunk folders so you may want to use http://svn.codehaus.org/grails/trunk/grails for the current head (which is 0.2 AFAIK)

For example I did a co into my /java folder with

svn co http://svn.codehaus.org/grails/trunk/grails grails

to get /java/grails

The only problem I have is that it will not build - grrrrr

Cheers

Thank you.  I'm pretty new at grails and svn, coming from a CVS background.  When I read

http://svn.codehaus.org/grails/trunk/grails/README

and saw

GROOVY ON RAILS (GRAILS), release 0.1 (March 2006)

I assumed that URL pointed to an old release.  Weak proof, at best, but I don't know how best to ascertain the current grails 'version' number.

Hi Mark,

If you look in the build.properties file in the top level folder (or trunk/grails in SVN) then you will see the version.

Rgds
