JIRA permissions

Daniel Henrique Alves Lima
    Hi, everybody.

Can a regular user edit and close bugs or improvement requests
opened by him? I think I could edit the bug description before the
migration of JIRA.

    Thanks in advance.

    Best regards,

          Daniel.

We can add this, but the configuration is a bit tricky in terms of
preventing modification of fix version, etc. I'll have a look into it.

I think the situation is slightly better now. I more robust solution
will involve getting into JIRA workflows it seems.

Peter, I think I can't select the bug priority anymore, when
creating a bug. Is it a side effect of this change?

    Thanks.

Right. The current workflow is such that only the core team can set
the priority. This is to stop everyone marking their issues as
critical and blocker, since priority is used heavily for scheduling
issues.

Of course, none of this is set in stone, so if anyone feels a
different approach is better we can discuss it on this mailing list.

Cheers,

Peter

Re: JIRA permissions

Ok. Can we (regular users) set the bug priority up to major? I've
created some bugs/improvements that could be marked as trivial or minor...

    Thanks.

I don't know if that's feasible, sorry. We probably need a JIRA expert
for things like that.

I'm pretty sure that's not possible, but you can certainly suggest a priority change in the comments.
