Hi
I request permissions to publish a new plugin: Grails username: oscarks Plugin: jrimum-bopepo Source Code: https://github.com/oscarks/grails-jrimum-bopepo-plugin Description: This plugin add Billet generation to Brazilian Banks. Define a DSL to configure the banking billet using the JRimum Bopepo library (www.jrimum.org/bopepo/) and facilities to render pdf in controllers. Thanks Oscar Konno

Does this have broad applicability to members of the community? Would there be multiple people using this? Would this be better off as an internally developed and deployed plugin for your context? Isn't this just like a thin wrapper for your own bitcoin operation?

In Brazil, the banking billet (I don't know if is this the term used in USA) is often used as payment way. Almost all ERP applications has a module to generate banking billet. So I think that this can be very usefull to brazilian grails comunity.
Currently there are two major open source projects for generation of bank billet in java: Caelum Stella and Jrimum Bopepo. The Stella already has a plugin for grails (Stella-Grails plugin integration). Unfortunately the Stella has support only for five banks and Bopepo has support to 18 banks. Then my decision to develop this plugin. I think that other developers have the same need and that is not met by existing plugins.
The plugin facilitates the generation of billet with the use of a DSL, in Java is necessary to create multiple instances of objects and relationships for the creation of the ticket; Best regards

We have a lot of "regionalized" plugins and this one should be granted. I'm the grails-stella developer that made the plugin he wrote about, and as he said, the stella library have a few banks being supported by it.
Bopepo seems like the de facto marked alternative around here. And grails ecosystem already have a lot of this kind of plugins, like for validating postal codes from other countries, phone numbers and other country-specific stuff.
+1 for this. Thanks Oscar. []s, On Thu, May 3, 2012 at 11:04 PM, Oscar Sampaio <[hidden email]> wrote:

Well answered. +1. Rationale for a plugin helps users understand the context and place it within the ecosystem. Consider including this in a README.md or something similar.
