Strange error with Grails 2.3.3 with license header in UrlMappings.groovy

Sandro Martini
Hi all,
I just see a strange error in a Grails-2.3.3 webapp (even in a new one
created from scratch):
if I add a license header in the UrlMappings.groovy file, when do a:
grails run-app --stacktrace --verbose
I get this:

Base Directory: C:\work\test-grails
|Loading Grails 2.3.3
|Configuring classpath
.
|Environment set to development
.................................
|Packaging Grails application
..........................................Error

Note that I'm using the usual Apache license header (put at the
beginning of source), and that I already put the same header in all
groovy files (for better license compliance even on sources).

I already do a full cleanup of all folders, cache, etc but nothing
changes ... but if I remove the license header from
UrlMappings.groovy, luckily all re-start to work :-) ...

Should I open a JIRA issue ?

Thanks,
Sandro

Hi,

Are you using Linux?

I'm having in the same issue with Grails 2.3.3 on Linux. On OS X is working fine.

Hi,
no I'm on Windows 8 with latest JDK 7 (7u45 at 32 bit)  ...

But I have to say that even in ubuntu-13.10 with latest OpenJDK 7
(7u25) I have OTHER strange problems ... but this could be a different
story.

Tell me if you need more info.

Hi all,
thanks for the info ...

I put my (broken) sample UrlMappings.groovy in the given issue:
http://jira.grails.org/browse/GRAILS-10763

note that I have the StackOverflowError (but with a different
StackTrace that in the issue, as written here before) but I'm using
the latest JDK 7.
Hope this helps ...

Bye,
Sandro
