Using local nexus repository to mirror grails dependencies and plugins.

netbrain
Im having some issues where resolving dependencies takes forever. So to speed up things im trying to mirror grails and all its dependencies and plugins to my local nexus installation.

I was wondering if anyone has done this? and if so, what repositories did you end up mirroring?

Hi,
have you found a solution to mirror / clone the Grails plugin repository to a local installment?

Best regards,
Joerg

This should be trivial with Artifactory by simply setting up http://repo.grails.org/grails/plugins/ as a virtual repository

Hi,
thanks for the tip. However, it looks like that we cannot clone the repository in one step (it might work with the commercial replication add-on) as Artifactory will only pull a plugin on-demand from the Grails repository and only then can deliver cached plugins.

Currently, I'm testing if I can create a Grails project with all plugins (via STS) to seed the Artifactory - this should result in an Artifactory with all plugins in the latest released version that can be disconnected from the Internet to serve the plugins in-house.

Best regards,
Joerg
