Hi Graeme, Hi dierk

Things have improce but I am still having path problems using grails with cygwin.
The lattest is this one :

    [mkdir] Created dir: D:\cygwin\home\SU16766\test\hibernate

BUILD FAILED
C:\eclipse\workspace\groovy\modules\grails\src\grails\build.xml:90: The following error occurred while executing this li
ne:
C:\eclipse\workspace\groovy\modules\grails\src\grails\build.xml:236: D:\c\eclipse\workspace\groovy\modules\grails\src\wa
r\WEB-INF not found.

Total time: 7 seconds

I always get confused with paths under cygwin. Is the problem with ${path}. If you explain me the logic for Grails I can then correct and give you some feedback
Cheers

RE: cygwin

Dierk König
Hm, tricky. I'm not a cygwin expert but also came across
some odd behaviour with slashes, backslashes, drives, and env vars.

You could try GRAILS_HOME=/cygdrive/c/eclipse/workspace/groovy/modules/grails

But that's a wild guess.

On my setup, I have the grails-home under cygwin, but use it from the
Windows command shell :-)

Hi tog I will have a look at the cygwin issues soon in the meantime
you could try the normal windows command shell?

Re: cygwin

graemer
Tog, I'm not sure exactly what the issue is as I'm no cygwin expert
either, but if I set GRAILS_HOME as a normal windows environment
variable and then load cygwin it works fine. It only fails to work
when I attempt to set GRAILS_HOME in .bashrc

Ok I did all stteings in Windows and launch from a cygwin shell but got now this error C:\eclipse\workspace\groovy\modules\grails\src\grails\build.xml:7: taskdef class org.codehaus.groovy.ant.Groovyc cannot

Something related to Groovy I guess ?
