error: Can not read response from server

Message: Can not read response from server. Expected to read 4 bytes, read 0 bytes before connection was unexpectedly lost.
Caused by: Error evaluating expression [Menu.findAllByIsHorizontal(true,[sort:'menuOrder', order:'asc'])] on line [38]: org.springframework.dao.DataAccessResourceFailureException: could not execute query; nested exception is org.hibernate.exception.JDBCConnectionException: could not execute query

I turned on the grails and left it without any activity and it becomes like this ... so I need to restart grails and it would come back.

What the happen ?

I am using grails 1.2.1 (latest one)

it always happened if i started the grails and the leave it for few hours.
