mailing list support?

errno

I subscribed to the grails-user mailing list, and am receiving all the list emails; however none of the emails I have sent to the list have shown up.   What's the proper channel/means for resolving the issue?

Thankyou!

Oh sorry - forgot to add,  I was able to get this message through, via the official nabble forum rather than through email; which is why you're seeing it.

I have posted 3 mails (a duplicate indeed) from my mail account since yesterday, but these emails do not show up in my registered mail box (alexandre.masselot@gmail.com). Although I can see them on markmail & nabble.

I had already posted emails to the list without trouble recently.

Is that the same problem?

(this mail is posted from nabble)

Re: mailing list support?

Nope, the posts I sent via mail did not show up in markmail or nabble.    I'm not getting bounce messages or errors either... I've sent 3 emails to user@grails.codehaus.org, since yesterday.  The email addr I'm using is not having issue w/ other mailing lists... weird.   I'll try unsubscribing and resubscribing... see whether that changes anything.  Then I guess I'll try a differen email addr.

Anyhow, sorry for noise - and thanks for help/suggestions.   Maybe when I un/re-subscribe it'll just correct itself.

Cheers

Alex,

I never see mail's from myself to the list.

If you can include a title I can look to see if I have seen your
email, but generally if it shows up on Nabble it's shown up on the
list.

Hi Alex,

This message appeared on the list, or at least I received it via the list.

I see all 3 emails of yours. They most likely also appear in Nabble etc.

No one has replied to them. I bet they show up once you get a reply.
They are probably hiding in your Sent Mail or something.

... still cannot post to user@grails.codehaus.org

I even went and created an entirely new email address.   I first attempted to subscribe via:

http://grails.org/Mailing+lists

... which provides a mailto:// url:  user-subscribe@grails.codehaus.org

I never received any sort of confirmation or anything.

So then I subscribed via codehaus.      I registered a new account at xircles, and then successfully subscribed to the grails user list... I received a verification and confirmation email; and my http://xircles.codehaus.org/my/email/subscriptions show that user@grails.codehaus.org is subscribed.

However, again I'm still not able to actually post to the list via my registered email address. I am receiving posts into my mailbox, but when I send to the list via the registered email addr, the post never shows up to the list, and I receive no error or bounced msgs. Ugh, this is frustrating;  how do I seek assistance to correct this problem?

I have confirmed that there is no issues w/ the email address involved ( eeno@cox.net ); and even successfully registered and posted to a different ml (openvpn-users), you can see it here:  http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/forum.php?thread_name=5424857.e0dEPCOJAE%40scanner&forum_name=openvpn-users

Any assistance is extremely appreciated, thankyou!

I expect there is moderation going on for new posters. I bet if you check Nabble in another day or so, the emails from your "new" account will appear. What was the new email address you used?

If it matters, I am subscribed and got this message, and i already told you that i saw the other 3, so clearly your emails ARE being posted, right? I guess I don't quite understand your problem.

eeno at cox net

( the previous addr was: errno at cox net )

The messages you're seeing and responding to, were sent via the nabble
http interface ( http://grails.1312388.n4.nabble.com/Grails-user-f1312389.html ),
not over smtp via my subscribed email client.

Perhaps you're right about the moderation... and it takes several days
before a person's first email to the list gets approved?

The list is not moderated. I often wish it was :)
