platform-core, events-push and grails-2.3 async developments

zyro
hi,

just wanted to ask if there is any outline on how things will continue
to develop in the event-bus/async/push area.

given the recent 2.3 doc changes indicate that somehow "grailsEvents"
will play a role, is this

- via platform-core
- by extracting the eventBus from platform-core and incorporating it
into core
- or some other variant?

thanks,

zyro

Hi,

This is by extracting most of event bus conventions applied to a new underlying mech.

If it makes sense and the grails version differs much more than predicted from platform-core, then the plugin eventbus will become a backward compatibility bridge (same conventions, new underlying mech). I just don't want to duplicate the effort, and the local experiments are promising, faster and will include new cool features :)

TLDR: As long as you use grailsEvents injected methods, you're safe.
