searchable plugin error - failed to rename index

I am getting the following error when starting up with the searchable plugin: Failed to rename index.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

org.codehaus.groovy.runtime.InvokerInvocationException: org.compass.core.engine.SearchEngineException: Failed to rename index [C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\.grails\projects\supplychain\searchable-index\production/index] to [C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\systemprofile\.grails\projects\supplychain\searchable-index\production\indexcopy0]

just delete all your index and restart app.

I'm also getting the same error, but deleting the index and restarting is a bit of a hack. Is there a better solution to this?

To whoever runs into this exception in the future (and happens to stumble upon
this thread) - I finally noticed that I had Luke running with the index open in
it when I got "org.compass.core.engine.SearchEngineException: Failed to rename
index". Closing Luke did help :)
